Governance
Directors and executives are faced with increasing demands to ensure that systems are in place and functioning as designed to achieve strategic and performance objectives. This includes demonstrating their duty of care.
We assist with the design of practical governance models and implementation (structure and process). This includes developing Board, committee and workgroup charters in alignment and compliance with good corporate governance practices.
We also assess the effectiveness of governance processes and practices in line with internal and external expectations.

Risk and Assurance
Risk and opportunities essentially form part of day-to-day decisions in running a business. Global and Industry events give urgency to this, driving the need to systemically design and implement clear criteria, processes and tools. Line leaders, managers, executives and directors require some confidence that these are suitable and working, reducing any gaps in providing reliable performance outcomes within acceptable limits.

We assist with the “out-of-the box” design of scalable risk and assurance models providing the desired level of confidence. This includes coaching relevant layers of workers to practically own their part of this integrated value chain.
We also assess performance of assurance programs mandated by the executive and/or board, conduct deep dives on risks, processes and controls.

Performance
Complex environments facing businesses increase the risk of performance failure. This is often further complicated by matrix structures with various cross-functional processes and owners. Leaders and managers are required to empower their teams by clarifying roles, handover points, their link to key performance objectives and risk.

Using end-to-end process analysis, we assist with locking in awareness, ownership and formal exchange of key activities between people and automated systems. This also presents an opportunity to critically review and optimize eliminating non-value adding steps.

We also assist with the design of performance monitoring processes and activities to track, predict and respond to key indicators in decision-making.
